Every note now has a link you can copy in one click, https://notez.dev/notes/<id>. Give it to an AI assistant and it opens that exact note. Open it in a browser and it lands on that note, in the right workspace.
Copy link
Copy link is in every note menu: the ⋯ menu on cards and table rows, the note page and the side panel, board cards, and notes under Favorites in the sidebar. It works the same in the desktop app.
The link only opens for members of the note's workspace, after they sign in. To publish a note to anyone, use Share as before.
Paste a link into an AI assistant
Paste a note link into Claude, ChatGPT or another app connected over MCP and it reads that note in one call, instead of searching for it or trying to load the page in a browser.
Over a sign-in connection, the link works in any of your workspaces, and the app no longer has to ask which one you mean.
With an MCP key, it works in the key's workspace, and the assistant tells you when a link points somewhere else.
Assistants link the notes they mention back to Notez the same way, so you can click straight from an answer to the note.
In-app AI chat opens pasted links too, and lists the note under the answer as a source.
Already connected? Start a new chat so the app picks up link support.
Links in the app
Signed out? After you sign in, you land on the note the link points to, not on your notes list.
Another of your workspaces? Notez asks first: "This note is in another workspace", with a button to switch to it. It never switches on its own.
A workspace you are not in? You see "You do not have access to this note" and stay where you were.
Each browser tab keeps its own workspace. Switching in one tab no longer moves your other tabs, so a note you create there lands where that tab shows.
Pasting a note link with
⌘Von a list opens the note instead of saving it as a bookmark.

CLI keys are narrower. A key created by
notez logincan now only capture notes and upload files, in the one workspace it was created for. It can no longer reach other workspaces or read, change or delete notes.Notez CLI 0.1.3 says plainly when its key is invalid, expired or not allowed, instead of printing a raw server error. Run
notez updateto get it.Every copy action — Copy link, Copy content, Copy as plain text and the share link — now confirms only once the clipboard has the text.
