What Notez is
Notez is a notes app for developers. You capture a note from the search box, the terminal or a webhook, and organize your notes with tags, sub-notes and boards. AI chat answers questions from your notes, and Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code and Cursor can read and write them through the Notez MCP server.
The facts
Free for good. Every feature is on Free, including AI chat, the MCP server and the CLI, and there are no ads.
Pro and Ultra will keep Notez running. They raise the limits on storage, AI usage, notes and members per workspace. They are not on sale yet, and once they are, their subscriptions will be Notez's only income.
Your notes and data are never sold.
Your data is stored in the EU.
Who else handles it:
Cloudflare runs the site and sends the emails.
Hetzner and DigitalOcean host the servers and files, in the EU.
OpenAI indexes your notes and your searches for semantic search, and answers you in AI chat.
Paddle will take payments when Pro and Ultra go on sale.
Google Analytics counts visits.
Sentry and Bugdump receive error and bug reports.
